How Does Skyline Test Rooftop Anchors?

Our clients trust their lives to the fall systems we create. We must take it seriously.

All Skyline Fall Protection anchor load testing is set to an ultimate 5,000-pound load rating. We physically test the anchor to 2,500 pounds. The process starts in our office with long-form engineering data by our in-house engineer.

Running simulations in SolidWorks, we can confirm the products we’re making and installing are going to meet that 5,000-pound rating.

The designed engineered spec of 1,250 pounds is tested four times over. Part of our testing involves a digital load cell that we hook up to the anchor and pull to 2,500 pounds.

At this weight, we check for any deflection, damage, and straining to the building. This process ensures that every product we install is safe to use. After engineering data is secured, we test it in the field.
